We're Down to the Wire!

Tomorrow we should know if the IVF worked or not. Talk about nervous! Butterflies all over my belly! I haven't caved and done a pee test yet, either. Gal pals Lore and Sara were betting that I wouldn't make it through the weekend without testing, but I did. I'd like to know what I get for winning that bet! I didn't even know about it! Sis-in-law Cindy offered me one of her leftover ones on Saturday, but I declined. Such willpower! Where'd I get that from?!? My blood test is in the morning. We should have the results less than 24 hours from now. I'll post them as soon as I can.

Dad *should* be getting out of the hospital either today or tomorrow. They have to get a couple of his doctors to sign off to get him out of there, and trying to do that this late in the day may not be too easy. They never really did get a solid reason for his bleeding, but it's stopped so I guess that's the best we can hope for at this point. Two colonoscopies, an upper GI, a CT scan, an MRI and God only knows how many blood tests and x-rays and no true diagnosis. Not to mention the whole arrhythmia thing and having to put him to sleep to shock his heart back into rhythm. At one point his heart rate was 180 beats per minute and his blood pressure would fall to 100/52 and would then shoot up to 190/100 or whatever. He received 4 units of blood and tons of IVs. They blew a vein in his right arm and it swelled up with a ton of medication before they caught it. Poor guy has been through the wringer! Once he's home and not being woken up every couple hours he shold start to feel better. He's exhausted.

Well, that's about all I have for now. Mike and I will post the blood test results here tomorrow and then we're planning on going out to dinner and a movie. I'm dying to see the new Harry Potter! We're both off Tuesday night to deal with whatever results come our way. Keep up the thoughts and prayers, please! Thanks! Love yas!
