Six Down, Half Dozen To Go

Woo hoo! We're halfway to our pregnancy test. Unfortunately, it hasn't exactly been a stress-free week. Friday and Saturday weren't bad. Saturday was actually pretty good... I got to play with Brock and hold Brody at Mary Ellen's house. Such fun little bunks! Sunday night we went back to work. It wasn't too bad... I took the last 2 hours off and came home and got to sleep early. Monday wasn't too bad, except work, of course. Actually, it wasn't bad, just looooong! Driving around for 8 hours in the rain sucks. Needless to say, there wasn't a whole lot going on.
My Mom called me on Tuesday to tell me she was on her way to pick up Dad and take him to the emergency room. He's been admitted to Mt. Carmel for some sort of internal bleeding. His colonoscopy showed diverticuli and hemorrhoids, but not enough to justify the amount of blood he's been passing. The last plan of action we were advised of before we left the hospital tonight was a blood transfusion. Mom and I both volunteered blood since we're the same type. Mary Ellen, however, gave me one of her famous looks and quickly advised the doctor (and me) that I would be doing nothing of the sort. Understood, but, worst-case scenario, I would. Anyways, we haven't heard back from the hospital so I'm guessing they had his type in the bank.
Brian and Stacy are taking a Thanksgiving trip... to Florida! Must be nice! They're going to be spending the next week plus with Mickey, Minnie, Donald (and Hewey, Louie and Dewey???) in the land of Disney. I'm so jealous! We're expecting a low of 21 degrees, and they're heading to Disney! IN FLORIDA! Jealous, jealous, jealous! Lucky dogs!
Well, that's all I have to report right now. Oh, you want to hear how I am? How kind of you to ask! I'm feeling well. My poor bootie has about 8 bruises on it... one for each PIO shot. Poor Mike is having to aim between them each time now. It's uncomfortable to sleep on my back, or my sides if I roll too far towards my back, but I'm able to sleep on my belly again, so I can't complain. Other than that, I'm pretty good. I'll keep you posted!
