Fertilization Report

I just got the call from the fertility center. Of the 8 eggs that were retrieved yesterday, 7 of them were mature. They did the ICSI on all 7 of those. Of those 7, 6 fertilized normally. Whew! That's such good news! The embryologist's office will call us on Friday with a report as to what grades the embryos are then. They grade them on their condition, but I would have to go into way too much detail here in order to explain it. And I'm not sure I really could.
The procedure yesterday wasn't too bad. I was unconscious for it, so that helped. I was sore and crampy and a bit nauseous when I woke up, but not overly so. I stayed in bed most of the day and slept and/or watched the idiot box (TV). Today I'm feeling better, but not as if I want to actually do anything. I'll be happy to get a shower here in a little bit! I'm still bloated so I'll probably stay off work this week, too, unless that goes away suddenly.
Mike will give me my progesterone-in-oil shot this afternoon. I started the Medrol last night, and will start the baby aspirin tomorrow evening. So with my 2-pill prenatals, I'm taking 6 pills and one shot each day. Whatever it takes!
I'll update on Friday when we get the grade report from the doctor's office. Take care!

Good news! We all need some good news! Keep us all informed as the story unfolds, interesting reading, we never heard of all of these scientific procedures, never mind our own daughter and son in law! We love you both, pray it won't be too hard on your body! Let us know if we can be of any help. Love always, Mommy and Daddy
