All those fussy acronyms

It took me a long time to learn the "IF Shorthand" but now it's like second nature. So, to keep these postings a little shorter and easier for me to type, here's a list of the commonly used ones, as close to alphabetically as I can get:

2WW = 2 week wait (post ovulation, before we know if we're pregnant)
AF = Aunt Flow (period)
BCP = birth control pills
BFN = Big Fat Negative (refers to pregnancy tests)
BFP = Big Fat Positive (again, pregnangy tests, but much better)
CD = cycle day
ER = egg retrieval
ET = egg transfer

FRED = First Response Pregnancy Test (thought to be more reliable than others)

HcG = The shot that makes me ovulate (ow!)

HPT = home pregnancy test

IM = intramuscular (long-needle shot)

IUI = intrauterine insemination

IVF = in-vitro fertilization

OHSS = ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome

PIO = progesterone in oil

POAS = pee on a stick (take a HPT/FRED)

RE = reproductive endocrinologist (the Doc)

SA = sperm analysis (or how The Troops are doing, according to Mike)

SubQ = subcutaneous (short-needle shot)

TTC = trying to conceive

U/S = ultrasound

Those should keep you adequately informed. Let me know if I confuse anyone.
